Coromandel Coastal Walkway Shuttle Now Starts and Finishes in Colville

We are all about helping you explore "off the beaten track" and let's face it, sometimes our roads resemble a beaten track!   Starting from the small village of Colville at 9.30 a.m., the Discovery Shuttle will deliver you to the start of the Coastal Walkway at Stony Bay around 11 a.m.

This is a delightful walk with contrasting scenery from regenerating bush to coastal farmland and commanding views across Great Barrier Island and Beyond.  It is a oneway, ten kilometre track, over an old bridle path that finishes in Fletcher Bay at the tip of the Northern Coromandel.

Rejoin the Discovery Shuttle at 3.30 p.m. as it returns to Colville via the pohutukawa fringed coast road with fabulous views over the Hauraki Gulf.

Shuttle Price: Normally $117.00 per adult special price $99.00 pp.  Children 0-15 years normally $45.00 special price $40.00. Minimum numbers apply.  Offer available till 30/9/20.

Starts and Finishes: Hereford N a Pickle carpark, 2318 Colville Road, Colville. Departs 9.30 a.m. Returns 5 p.m.  Colville is 26 kilometres or approximately 30 minutes from Coromandel Town over a tarsealed section of inland and coast road.

Fitness Level: The Coastal Walkway is suitable for hikers with an average level of fitness.  There is a steeper section through Poley Bay totalling one kilometre that requires care and attention.

Please Bring: sturdy walking shoes, lunch, snacks, water, sun protection, insect repellent, swimsuit and towel. Our weather can be changeable so it is also advisable to carry a warm layer and a rain jacket. Topup water supplies available in the van. Oh and don't forget your camera.
