This is an itinerary with a difference. This five-day tour gives you a taste of life on both Waiheke Island and the Coromandel peninsula, each with communities full of character and vitality.
Hop on the 360 Discovery ferry from downtown Auckland to Waiheke Island, stay for two days before moving on to Coromandel Town for another two nights before returning to Auckland by ferry.
Waiheke Island - Day One and Day Two
Join an Ananda Wine tour, combining a visit to a selection of the island’s wineries including an entertaining commentary with time to stop for photographs. There is son much to see and do on Waiheke we have left this day to do your own thing OR we can organise an Arts tour or Island Eco tour with Ananda Tours.
Coromandel - Day Three to Five
Day Three - Heritage tour: A half-day tour showcasing the heritage of the Coromandel peninsula. The tour includes a visit to Driving Creek Railway & Potteries and the Coromandel Gold Stamper Battery & Gold Centre.
Day Four - Coromandel Coastal Walkway: Join our one-day walking tour exploring the remote upper Coromandel Peninsula. This walk has been graded ‘easy to moderate’ by the Department of Conservation.
Day Five - 309 Road and Coromandel Highlights: A trip to the Coromandel isn’t complete without visiting famous Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach. The tour departs from Coromandel Town and follows the adventurous 309 Road.
