Coromandel Discovery is based in the small settlement of Coromandel Town (pop. 2500). Getting to and from Coromandel Town is simple – it’s located approximately three hours by road or two hours by ferry from Auckland.

Though only small, Coromandel Town offers a great variety of accommodation, cafes, restaurants and, most important of all, there is plenty to do. Staying two or three nights is highly recommended, enabling visitors to experience the Coromandel Coastal Walkway tour as well as other tourist highlights.
