There's so much to do in The Coromandel why not make several days of it? The Wanderer Tour is a three-day tour departing from Auckland on the 360 Discovery ferry.

Cruise by ferry from Auckland to Coromandel Town with 360 Discovery. A journey of two hours, it includes a fully commentated fast ferry trip through the islands of the Hauraki Gulf to Hannafords Wharf. Once in Coromandel Town, the Wanderer Tour combines Coromandel Discovery’s most popular tours.
Day One: Heritage Town tour takes in:
Driving Creek Railway & Potteries. Here visitors travel a narrow-gauge mountain railway for 3 kilometres through re-planted native forest to the ‘Eyefull Tower’ with its breathtaking 360 degree views of the Coromandel harbour, Hauraki Gulf, and surrounding hills.
Coromandel Gold Stamper Battery and Gold Centre. Using the largest working waterwheel in the Southern Hemisphere, rock is crushed to extract gold and silver. There’s plenty to see!
Day Two: Coromandel Coastal Walkway
Travel along rustic coastal roads and explore the remote upper Coromandel Peninsula with spectacular sights around every turn.
Day Three: 309 Road and Coromandel highlights
A loop trip which crosses from one side of the Coromandel Peninsula to the other on the 309 Road. This is an adventure on an unsealed road which includes visits to the 309 Kauris, Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach.
The tour returns to Coromandel Town in time to meet the 4.30pm ferry back to Auckland. Arrival back into Auckland is at 6.30pm.

During Winter, this full tour, combining the ferry is unavailable. However, you can choose any two tours of the above and complete them in the weekend after arriving in Coromandel Town by 360 Discovery ferry on Friday night.
