Welcome! Kia Ora!
OUR NEW, REVAMPED WEBSITE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION. IN THE MEANTIME WE HAVE MADE SOME BIG CHANGES TO OUR NORTHERN COROMANDEL TOUR. BE SURE TO CHECK THESE OUT.
Here you will see timeless landscapes, ancient volcanoes, pohutukawa trees, and dramatic coastlines, all set against the backdrop of the island-studded Hauraki Gulf and the Pacific Ocean. The views are breathtaking!
We are different, we are a world apart, DISCOVER it with us.......
The tour commences travelling via the remote Kennedy Bay, Tuateawa and Waikawau, sights often unseen by so many travellers, until now. You depart on your Walkway hike from Stony Bay, refreshed after morning tea from Tangiaro Kiwi Retreat. The Walkway track takes approximately 3 to 4 hours to complete and consists of 10 kms of moderate walking track. Walkers will be met at Fletcher's Bay with homemade cake and refreshments before continuing their equally amazing journey home.
AND NOW WITH AN ADDED OPTION:-
You decide whether to hike or bike the Walkway and Beyond! Bring your own bike or hire one from our sister ship, Bush e Bikes. Cyclists can continue their journey south along the amazing Coast Road, as time allows, to enjoy even more of our Last Frontier. OR take the opportunity to truly enjoy and savour everything at your own pace. Bush e Bikes offer the three day, supported Coastal Contrasts Tour around the same route. You may prefer the shorter 1.5 hour Muriwai Walk, (subject to tide) at Port Jackson with its views over to Great Barrier or stay on the bus and enjoy the scenic drive.
Be ready to start your day at 8.15am. Tour returns between 5-6pm.
We also operate private charters to Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach via The 309 Road, with stops at the Wild Pigs, The Waterworks (entry fee applies), Waiau Waterfall and Kauri Grove or day trips to New Chums Beach. By arrangement, bookings essential.
Auckland Airport pickup/drop-off also available.
Or, you can just tell us where YOU would like to go. We cater for private charters including weddings, corporate groups, team building events or whenever you need groups moved.
- Many of our roads are gravel, windy and very narrow. While the distances from place to place often appear small, the road surface and condition can add significant time to your journey.
- The only way to circumnavigate the Complete Northern Coromandel is via the 10km Coastal Walkway Track either hiking or biking. No other vehicles are permitted on the Track.
- Some rental cars and motorhomes are excluded from various gravel roads on the Coromandel Peninsula, but most importantly the road north of Colville. If you travel on these roads, you may not be covered by insurance. If you have an accident or breakdown you will have to pay the towing costs back to Coromandel, plus any additional charges.
So let us drive you....with peace of mind. Enjoy a full day's informative tour. Leave your car at our base, Hike or Bike the spectacular Coastal Walkway, and enjoy refreshments, tea/coffee & home-made cake. Leave the worry and stress to us!
